The University of Pavia (UNIPV) is an Italian HEI boasting a centuries-old tradition of excellence.  It is structured in 18 Departments that cover all the themes of the Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Engineering and Social and Humanistic Sciences areas. UNIPV is involved in more than 400 collaboration agreements for the development of national, EU and international projects with public and private institutions, as well as partner universities all over the world, and is an active member in a few international networks.

UNIPV is located in an area rich in scientific centers and hospitals that boost interdisciplinary research activities in life sciences paving the way for the conceptualization of TEN4CARE project.

UNIPV, whose research team is led by Prof. Giuseppina Sandri (PI of the project, Department of Drug Sciences), has been granted a total funding of € 889.462,50 and acts as coordinator of the TEN4CARE project. UNIPV leads WP3 focused on the design and development of scaffolds based on 4D nanocomposite fibrous hydrogel manufactured using spinning technology based on centrifugal forces.

Moreover UNIPV contributes with its expertise to the activities of other WPs focused on scaffolds characterization and manufacturing technology development (namely WP2, WP4, WP5, WP6, WP7 and WP9). In addition, UNIPV leads – in collaboration with Biokeralty – WP13, 14 and 15 which deal with coordination, project management and implementation. Together with all other partners, UNIPV will actively take part in WP10 (Exploitation and pathways towards commercialization) and WP 11-12 (Patients, society and stakeholder engagement, dissemination and communication).
