GreenDecision  is a research-driven SME, established as spin-off from the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. It specialises in decision analysis, environmental and human health risk assessment, the development of decision support software and models, environmental, social and economic sustainability assessment. More recently, its expertise has expanded to include the implementation of the Safe and Sustainable by Design (SSbD) framework proposed by EC JRC for chemicals and materials.

In TEN4CARE, GreenDecision is responsible for the application of the SSbD framework to novel biomaterials and products developed in the project, to ensure that they are safe and sustainable while retaining their desidered technological functionality. The application of the SSbD approach at different stages of development will provide an excellent opportunity to test the adaptation of the SSbD approach on advanced materials and products in the biomedical sector.

Moreover, GreenDecision will assess and support the effective adoption of practices promoting the circular economy within TEN4CARE, with a particular emphasis on mitigating the depletion of natural resources, reducing material consumption, and minimizing waste generation.
